While it has been understood for decades that hydrogen can improve the efficiency of diesel combustion (see independent studies here), it has not had mainstream application because of logistical challenges of carrying or producing hydrogen.  Hydrogen tanks are not practical because they add bulk and refilling infrastructure doesn't exist.  In recent years, companies (and innovative tinkerers) have begun to build electrolyzers, which solve that problem by producing hydrogen on-demand from water.  Unfortunately, these electrolyzers require the use of a catalyst (usually potassium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide), which can have damaging side effects to the engine.

The Marz Ranger Fuel Efficiency System utilizes a hydrogen-fuel-cell based PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) technology to convert water into its component parts -- hydrogen and oxygen -- without the need for any consumable catalyst.  By utilizing PEM cell technology, the only inputs are water and electricity, and the output is pure hydrogen and oxygen.  (This is not true for virtually all of our competitors, whose products use potentially harmful catalysts.)  

The process is truly green and, more importantly, is guaranteed not to damage the engine.  In fact, because of the more complete diesel combustion, engines run cleaner and last longer.
